It's over the maximum size limit.

This is over 2 MB. It needs to be under 40 KB.
In order to do this, I would need to cut out a portion of it. I would have to degrade the colors too much to fix it that way--you wouldn't be able to tell what you were looking at.

Just tell me the part that you want in there, and I'll fix it.

There aren't any extra frames, so I can't take out any redundant ones either, sorry, this file is pretty streamlined already.

hmmmm...I've gotten it down to 585KB with the color palette taken down to 32 colors. I'm not willing to degrade the image any more beyond that.

Is there anything out of the end that I can take out?

Or do you have the original footage for your button that your friend made?

I can probably make one of the very last portion where it zooms out from Heero and says "Mission Accepted" if you want.

Sorry LJ only allows such small files! I had always wondered why animated gif icons weren't didn't show longer scenes! (I actually just started making animated gifs this morning...so my learning curve is freaking vertical today.)

I could do without the explosions at then end... but that's about it. Take away anything else and you lose the whole effect of it. :/

I don't... perhaps I could email her and ask if she does and if not where she found it.

Okay, I wasn't able to do too much with this one--you really can't do more than 10-12 frames in a gif. But, I cut out the targeting sequence, the beginning bit, the end explosion, and some of the secondary explosion.

So, this is just an icond of watching a big sexy mech blowing something up. :3

It was fun, and everything I learned was very useful! I have a much better understanding of what kinds of footage make good gifs.
