I tried to plan these icons out so I'd know what I'm doing before I actually start making the icons, but as it turns out, quite a number of these were spontaneous anyway.
1-10 Themes:
1. Tsuru No Ongaeshi: Kimono Patterns - I hope this is pattern-y enough, the texture is from a picture of a kimono, so I think it counts. XD This was a challenging one, imo. XD
2. Issun boshi: Big & Small - I had the original scan sitting on my hard drive for a while and I really wanted to colour it because it's so cute, so here's it is.
3. Tengu No Kakuremino: Fade - I don't think I've done justice to this beautiful scan, but alas. :(
4. Yuki Onna: Mist/Winter - I really wanted to colour my own version of this spread. It looks really wintry, it could fit into the "seasons" theme too, haha.
5. Urashima Taro: Seasons - Autumn-ish. I'm doing too much of this fade-y thing. >_>
6. Momotaro: Peach - Is this close enough to peach colours? My first attempt was too orange becuse I seem to have a fascination with orange/red/yellow colours right now.
7. Hanasaka Jiisan: Vibrant Flowers - It's Rukia sort of blending into a flower texture...eh, could've been better.
8. Kintaro: Strength - See what I mean about the fading/blending thing? Bleh. But it's Rukia kicking ass with Sode no Shirayuki so I hate myself a little less for it.
9. Shitakiri Suzume: Bird - It was either this or paper crane textures, but I couldn't find textures I was happy with and in the end, I think is a much better result anyway. Such a sad, but beautiful moment.
10. Tanabata: Separation - Whenever I think of Rukia and "separation" now, images from that ch. 423 farewell come to mind. It's beautiful. And although this panel isn't technically from ch. 423, it's sort of part of it. :p
11-15: Kaguyahime
Stone Begging Bowl: Round shape - Another old page I wanted to colour. I just painted in that round, swirly thing in myself because every other idea I had was even more lame. :/
Jeweled Branch: Branch - Yeah. What. Idk what to say about this one, I really don't.
Robe of The Fire Rat: Red Clothing - Rukia in this awesome red outfit which for some reason I want.
Colored jewel: Light Texture - A bit too clichey perhaps?
Cowrie: Spiral - I originally drew in spiraly/swirly stuff in the background...then changed it to this texture. Spiraly enough? :(
I don't usually do a unified category set, so I guess the use of blue/blueish backgrounds is as close as it gets.
16-20: Artist's Choice.
Stuff. Also, there's another icon here that could be an interpretation of the "Seasons" theme. Don't blame me, I was just happy to see a sunny day here when I made that.
I need to make more icons man, but everything I do seems so redundant. :'( My user icon is more successful than any of these. >_>

I always feel paranoid before posting an icon challenge set, but I have to do this now before I spend too much time doing "minor edits". (Although some icons did benefit from that, imo). Someone PLEASE let me know if I've made a stupid mistake somewhere, 'k? And I probably have. :( SEE? I FORGOT THE PREVIEW!
