Beyond the Veil and into the Twilight

Nov 06, 2005 00:15

Since music is clearly the most important thing in life it get's to begin this entery:

-Tristania's second album 'Beyond the Veil' is absolutely nothing less than a masterpeice. It is the epitomy of what symphonic black/gothic metal should strive for: soaring choir, deep growling, a changing, but frequently fast paced tempo, strong melodic themes, and of course the occasional contributions of the lovely and seductive soprano Vibeke Stone (whom is so hot I may add that she glorifies my school binder's cover with her alluring presence).

-Midnatosal's 'Where Twighlight Dwells': a cd that is taking a bit of getting used to b/c of the lead singer's (Carmen Espaenes) different vocal style, which is quite good, just different and an altogether original feel of the band's sound. She is actually Liv Kristin's sister (the gothic diva behind Theatre of Tragedy and Leaves Eyes) and thus has quite the legacy to follow.

What's new:
-acutane day 2
-social psych essay is 7/9th done, which is nice.
-South Park is a kick ass show full of interesting subliminal as well as blatantly unapologetic opinion's and theories, which I will admit match mine to a near parrallel.
-I just watched the 1st episode of 6 Feet Under. (L) is all that eneds to be said.
