Well I've heard and read a few different things on the forums online. The buzz around before the season started was that David Chase was given a few options apparently. Either end this now and possibily option a movie deal to continue the story, make a seventh season (obviously) or just end the show this season. All make sense I suppose, but honestly, this season is starting out very rocky for me. There are a lot of possibilities though with the idea of Silvio running the family with Tony out of the picture, however tempoary.

A few people have made some good ideas online in the forums. Tony hangs on in the coma for a few episodes and then dies. Tony hangs on throughout the season and dies at the end. Tony comes out of the coma but isn't able to "work" and he ends up being the one in assisted living due to brain damage.

I did cheat a little and looked around online to see if there were any season spoilers and did find some and upcoming episodes seem to insinuate Tony getting better and being back to work mid season. But who knows how accurate that information was.

I would just like to see AJ "put a bullet in June's mummy head". That would be excellent. =)

Hm, well, that would be an interesting twist. I always sort of figured Tony would die towards the end of the show, really. I just hope this season doesn't become like last season...where nothing really happens for nearly the entire time, and then finally the thing with Adrianna goes down which I don't think was a surprise to anyone. They strung that out a little bit too long, imho.

I'm just wondering what else they can do without really repeating themselves or becoming annoying. We know none of Tony's guys will really be able to handle the responsibility, so they'll go down flaming, taking each other with them, and the whole crime family thing would end up self-destructing. Which I'm fine with, so long as it doesn't become boring.

It seems to be a weird thing with shows on HBO, the 3rd or 4th season malaise. Six Feet Under had a similar problem, though the last season was, I felt, amazing. It was the one before it that seemed like the writer wasn't really into it. The Sopranos seemed to have the same problem, but I'm still hoping this season will surprise me.
