http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/contest/2009-09-27/kannagi-fan-art/winners Wow, just wow. I actually won an art contest. But why me? There are a good number of other entries that looks better than mine. No, I'm not being ungrateful, I'm just very curious. Was it because it's unique? It's funny? I might not know the answer. But I won, and that should be the only thing that counts. My entry is the third one from the top. I don't know if they are ranked, but if it is, just wow. There goes another bullet point to my awards list.
I remember the first time I've entered one of ANN's art contest. It was to win a figure a figure of Vocaloid Miku Hatsune. Even though I didn't win, I got a very humorous drunk call from a couple of friends in college about how they saw my entry and decided to tell me about it. It was a great moment, and it was great to hear from them again.
Now I won this contest. What did I earn? The complete DVD box set of Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens and some mystery prize. It's a really fun series to watch, only 13 episodes. You can even catch it all free over at
Anime News Network's Video Player. I know that I don't sound particularly excited, but I'm pretty modest. Even at the RIT Anime
Heh, also I found this out while watching an episode of Hell's Kitchen, which also reminds me: I need to get those auditions up ASAP.
