Foody food food and tmi

So, apparently one of the writers block things last week was to talk about things you like/dislike about yourself. I didn't do it, but I really like that I can cook. haha

Today was one of those amazing Sundays where you have absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to be. I could have gone to judo practice, but my body's been telling me I need a break. Before kentai I slacked off a lot because the kids were gearing up for the competition, and there's not a lot of room for me in that workout, so I was just training and...being lazy. And before kentai training I was feeling pretty icky, actually, leftovers from the stomach bug I picked up in Nepal. Also, I strained my ankle, nothing serious, but not worth pushing. So, I was practicing, but not hard, just kind of letting myself recover.
Anyway, Friday real practice started again, and I somehow ended up facing off against Shohei and Iwanaga, the two strongest first years. I was finally feeling "genki" again so I went all out. I almost threw Shohei, too. haha I'm gonna get him one of these days; he's stronger but I'm faster and I keep thinking of new tricks to try on him. That's going to be a happy day...I haven't beat him since he gained 20 kilos after kentai last year.

Friday night I went out with May and her boyfriend, and we met up with Rebecca after her enkai, which ended up turning into a nijikai (second party, after the first party is over) at my favorite bar in Kitsuki with a bunch of my favorite judo people, Rebecca, May, and her boyfriend. I got invited to middle school practice the next morning, so I went. It was fun; I let them throw me around because they have a competition coming up. And then after that I went to the high school practice, where I practiced really hard for about two hours and then fell asleep. Kirifu-sensei was really worried about me. He's sweet. And then last night I had one of those evenings where I really wanted food but was too tired to cook (I think I did end up making spaghetti), and then I really had to pee but climbing the stairs was too hard (obviously I ended up crawling down them, but I held it for a reaaally long time before I did).

So today I skipped practice, slept in, played around on the computer, did some laundry, took a nap (it's amazing how much your body can recover while sleeping), and cooked! I made quiche, pumpkin with minced chicken, some daikon stuff, a summer spaghetti salad, a spinach mango salad, and some other stuff I can't remember at the moment. But this week's bento are looking d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!! :) Contemplating making some peanut-butter muffins for breakfast...mmmm
