Congrats on the new arrivals & good on you!

But I do have to express some gentle teasing grumpiness to your mom at her wonderful comeback to Jason.

I'm a "Wiccan" and *cue Butterfly McQueen impersonation* I know PLENTY 'bout birthing da Kitties!! :)

(I prefer to use the term Wiccan to Witch as Witch to me implies a heck of a lot more knowledge/familiarity with Darkness. Not necessarily negativity but Darkness. Love you lots, hon but you & the system know & have experienced more on that side of things than I have. Me, I just mongoose-react at the stuff. it's just the way I am.)

I will agree though that she probably meant the fluffy-bunny type of Wiccans who can't be bothered to deal with the real world of what actually dealing with Fertility & Nature worship results in & not me. I don't think we've ever actually met, more's the pity.

Anyway - enjoy the new fuzzball purrboxes!

In my family trad, which is from the blue ridge mountains and started in native american/mountain folk magic/granny-ing...there is a massive difference in what a 'witch' is. However, I have already spoken to these issues extensively on FB.

And you're on both counts. We see s witch as someone who deals in ghosts, spirits, haints, charms, hexes, cures, the sight, etc with no bounds to concepts of good and evil. We know one thing that supersedes the silliness of the three fold law...what goes around, come around. Quote from my Mother, when I was little, "You put the works on someone, they better well deserve it. Or the haints get mightily pissed with you."

And yes, she meant the fluffy bunnies.
