Acknowledgment: There is stress in my life -- things I've forgotten, things I need to do. And there's sadness in the lives of my friends and in the world. I choose for this moment in time not to think about those things, and to continue focusing on my happiness because this project has successfully shifted my focus to more happy and more silly, and I've felt better for it. This project has started a positive dialogue even when things suck. I can *feel* the difference in positive energy. And dammitall, if that's not a win, I don't know what is.
-- Yesterday's nap. I lurve naps.
-- Feeling valued. Realizing that I'd made the right request, and that I feel even better for the willingness with which my request was filled. (*And* that I don't feel silly for asking -- how else would someone know what I wanted?)
-- Late dinner with my girl bestie. Realizing she's starting to appear even more grown up to me. Giggling to myself in the moment when I realize this, because I'm mildly concerned if I open my mouth, I'll tell her she's turning into her mother (which is totally untrue, but is how my head wants to quantify this shift).
-- A house divided in tartar sauce cannot stand. Figuring this out later.
-- Crazy vivid dreams still. Someone left the TV on (in my mind).
-- Reading in bed.
-- Suspecting there's food in the kitchen I can eat (squee!).
-- I only really get one of muh gays back in Austin anymore, but at least he's back! And he's gonna be my date Sunday! I super missed him.
-- Holding court at the Palace tonight!
-- Seeing friends at the warehouse last night. Relaxing a little. Being silly.
-- Yesterday's research netting not just good advice for a friend, but possibly helpful advice for me, too. Double win!
30 days of happiness
