today i started reading a book. usually i dont like books because they dont have many numberrs in them (except the pages) or calclulus symbols, but this book is about my personal idoll, queen latifah. i read for a few hours when i got home from the lab but because i somtimes for get how to read since i dont do it very often, and the bottle of gin hidden under my roomate's bed was distracting me, i only got through the first chapter. its really inspireing, about how you cant keep yourself down just because you grew up as a black girl in the inner city. i totally know what she's talking about, cause i grew up in a similar situation ecxept i was an inteligent boy surrounded by white trash. i'm not going to let the tawnts of my peers hold me back any longer. i cant wait to be at MIT where i belong!
