I've been doing some house-cleaning yesterday and today. I'm torn between wanting to keep everything and wanting to decrease the level of clutter and disorganization in my house.
What do people do about magazines and journals? I usually subscribe to a few (Popular Science, Consumer Reports, Old House, Technology Review, Communications of the ACM, and MAKE), but I rarely read as much of them as I should. Because I feel bad about recycling things I've bought but not read, but also because I use some of them for reference, I tend to save them. This means I have archives for most of them going back to ~1998 or so. Every few years I do a purge of magazines over 5-10 years old but even that can be hard to force myself to do.

Some things I'll probably post to craigslist/reuse-sell/reuse but thought I'd try here first: old Popular Science and Consumer Reports magazines (circa 1999-2002), a split-Queen box-spring and frame, a barely-used Kenmore vacuum cleaner.
