Nicole's List of Nuisances and Pesky Events Which Induce Stress:
1. I still don't know about next year.
2. My parents have been actually especially cordial to me lately, meaning that a "You're going to UMass or you're joining the military" lecture is inevitable this weekend.
3. My boss threatened to fire me if I lose one more work key. I'm on my fourth.
4. Junction ice cream so tasy, my self-restraint so weak.
5. I had to drive three miles with the red "empty" light on my gas tank mocking my poverty.
6. The zit on my chin is slowly expanding to the size of a small African nation.
Nicole's List of Happy Events Which Provide Balance and Allow Her to Travel "The Middle Way:
1. I got my ears pierced after seventeen years of building up the courage, and damnnnn I look fine.
2. Prom dress shopping tomorrow night, and I'm motivated to find The One. I've already established that I don't look good in yellow, pink, halter tops, dresses with diamond-shaped cutouts in the stomach area, armpit-high slits, rhinestones, and those stereotypical huge dresses that you could hide an family under. Basically, I'll end up wearing a paper bag to prom...I still love shopping, though.
3. Dan Gu asked Nicole to prom tonight, so now our limo's all set, and I am dying for May 31st.
4. Dan Gu AND Liam visited the Junction tonight. My life is better than yours.
5. Pad thai.
6. Plenty of money in tip jar to buy said pad thai.
