So I am eating lunch today - hummus wrap, and something very cold falls directly down my shirt. Not just "right there" but "Hmmm, should I go at this from the top or bottom" kind of far down my shirt. So you realize that this has happened, and trying to be appropriate in public you are now debating your options in your head. Now from either standpoint, you are most likely going to look like you are doing something inappropriate - or go to the bathroom. Well, it is only something little and it is really cold, so something has to be done fast. So you shimmy a bit.
If it dislodges and finds it's way further down, this is no problem, you do the discreet "shirt lift" under the table and the cold thing finds a new home. If the shimmy/shirt-lift maneuver fails, just go after it and deal with the repercussions later.
