new job, new year at high school
ok, so i'll base this entry around the fact that i got a new job working at Tropical Smoothie and the first day of 10th grade.
1. I have to work for 3 hrs after school, which may become a problem with getting homework done...eh. i'll stress through it. i really like working there, too, so i'll have to deal. just about everyone who works there is black so it's hard to get to know them, they're all friends with each other, and of course i'm out of the black community. so far, i've only seen 2 other white people work there. i don't know, but i think making smoothies non-stop is somewhat pleasureable. imagine all your cares and worries getting pulverized in a blender....ahh, theraputic. love the sound of ice and steel blades.
2. i could safely say that this first day was the best yet. first hour, really cute guy, kyle, and we're interested in about the same things. not sure, just met him. but what a cutie. -blush- so then i got 3rd hr with brandy n kirk! yay! creative writing. then 4th hr with zack n janna, again, those guys are in a language class with me, english. the rest of my classes are nothing to chat about, but the lunches are crazy-wack. 3,000 kids split into only 2 lunches. luckily, i got a cool A-lunch, lots of people i know n love there. so my hopes are high for this year, it just may not suck.
P.S.--anyone interested in joining me in INKWELL (literary magazine) in afterschool meetings, don't think twice! __love all--/auren
