See Weather Map. In the DC area, 1 inch causes mass chaos. At 6 inches, civilization as we know it to breaks down. 12 inches is apocalyptic. Think Donner Party on a regional scale.
(I'm not kidding... Milk, bread and TP become more valuable than gold!) My only regret is that this is hitting Friday night instead of Sunday night.
