Hotch picked up the glossy eight-by-ten portrait, regarding it with faint dismay. “This is you?”
Prentiss sighed. “So they tell me.”
“I see.” He held the picture at arm’s length, inspecting the finer details more closely.
Silence reigned.
Emily sighed again, gustily, and pressed her palms to her burning cheeks. “Just say it.”
He glanced up, arching an eyebrow at her.
“I look like that hooker we saved from the Mill Street Killer last year…”
Hotch struggled with professional disapproval for a moment before allowing his amusement to break through.
“At least your eye makeup matches the dog collar,” he remarked, handing the picture back.
