(no subject)
I am almost done filling up my small Copic sketchbook with chibis. The only thing that's sort of non-chibi is a drawing of my cat. But even then I tried to make it sort of chibi. Then it would be on to the colors....of which I don't know how long that will take, mainly due to the fact that I'm not sure how often I'd be running out of ink and I really don't have a huge surplus of money to go spend on more markers (I probably really do, I'm just paranoid with money recently).
Anyway, the true subject of this post is that I have a 9x12in Copic sketchbook that I got at the same time as my smaller Copic sketchbook (Sakuracon 2008 in Seattle). But it's more the matter now of trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I do most of my drawing recently on duty as that seems to be the only time really that I have a huge chunk of time where I'm doing nothing.
I've been thinking about only doing fan art with this one. I've got a list so far of subjects I think I would like to pursue but I'm obviously missing some ideas. I'm not sure how concrete this list is yet either. As in, some things might get bumped off. And for some of the more ridiculous sounding ideas (remember, I watched cartoons in the 80's), trust me, my goal is for them not to be as ridiculous. Take two of my ideas, for example: Rainbow Brite and Jem. Back in the 80's as a kid, they were the coolest shit ever. Now, it's mostly nostalgia that makes such things icons in my head. But I kind of don't see them the same way I do back then. I still love the originals and how cheesy they seem now. But with everything on this list, I'm going to use my art style (like I always do) and I am going to deviate from the original character designs for some to provide maybe a more modern spin on them.
So here's the list. This is in no particular order.....I still need to figure that out. But I would love feedbacks and suggestions for the missing pages. The asterisked ones are ones that I originally thought of as combined, then separated them, and now they might end up combined after all. So I have 11 spots still unaccounted for at most. And I'm kind of running short of ideas and I would like no repeats in this book.
