I watched Memoirs of a Geisha the day before yesterday and now I regret getting rid of my geisha-icon because it would have fit perfectly. What a beautiful movie! Oh wow. The book is the most beautiful I've read thus far and after all the negative reviews I was kind of scared the movie would be disappointing, but it so wasn't! The atmosphere was beautiful, as was the music, and oh man, Mameha is endless love. And I want Hatsumomo's gorgeous hair. Can't believe the actress who played Sayuri is actually 27. She can easily pass for 14.
Anyway.
Manon is the best. She's going through so much trouble to help me with my thesis! I still have to find those awful brochures and she actually went Googling for me and she went to the Tourist Information Office in Rotterdam to ask if they had anything.. she's too sweet! ♥ I also got an email from Henriette, Thijs's aunt-from-Spain, and she went to Tourist Info Offices in Spain and called the Dutch T.I.O in Madrid, but she couldn't find anything unfortunately. But I really appreciate the effort. People can be devastatingly kind sometimes. ♥
Two weeks minus two days. I'm going to send her an email next week. I think. (Oh, and if all goes well I'm finally going to meet grizelda on the same day as well. About bloody time after 3+ years, hahah.)
