Fast times
Holy crap, 129 days until the big day. I can't believe how fast time is going. We still have a tonne of wedding plans to sort out. Little details...The next 4 months are going to fly. But first, a vacation...
D and I had been planning a trip to Minneapolis for this coming weekend. We haven't been since last summer, so I'm going through a bit of withdrawl. We put away $2000 for a 6 day trip. Then the Red River Valley flooded, and generally things just refused to fall into place. At the beginning of April, D sent me a travelzoo e-mail at work with some crazy deals for Cuba. Long story short, we found a 4 star resort in Veradero (all inclusive & and hour from Havana) for $1550 for both of us, taxes included. We leave next Thursday. The nice thing about Cuba is the lack of American influence, and the rich culture. We are going to be in Revolution Square for May Day on the 50th anniversary of the Revolution. We plan to spend the fisrt 2 days in Havana, exploring the old city, the markets, the squares, the shops and the rum & cigar bars. The following 5 days will be spent at our all inclusive resort (that looks decent), lounging on the beach, swimming with the dolphins and taking full advantage of the swim up bars. I can't wait. We need this so badly.
Other than that, I really need to sort out the whole wedding plan situation. I want to enjoy this experience and not be a stressed out chaotic mess.
