... we were tourists in another life

Jan 06, 2005 00:53

I can't sleep. I have tried, but my mind will not shut down, so I am going to post a gazillion (I think that's how you spell that fictional number) pictures of our (The Gebauers along with Hannah and I) trip to San Francisco. David took tons of pictures and let us use his camera to take a bunch as well, so these came from a disc he made me. Hope you like...

Some pics of the city - I want to live here

We went to a party for the Gebauers (and I mean all of them - Samoan relatives from various places). The house was green.

We went to dinner at a great Thai Restaurant downtown:

Hey, we kind of match... well, outerwear that is...

Hannah would not stay on her side of the sidewalk...

We were waiting in line to be seated, so we took a picture of our feet. That's Hannah, Ben, and myself, respectively.

Ben looked dapper...even in a Beanie.

Hannah is so cool... I mean, come on.

I don't know what we were looking at, but we hadn't ordered yet.

Lukey likes his Rubix Cube. Don't touch it, he WILL kill you.

Helen and Richard. Richard is David Sr.'s brother, and Helen is his girlfriend. They were super nice. We stayed at their new house; it was beautiful.

We came, we ate, we conquered. And what we couldn't conquer, Mr. G finished off... about two extra plates of conquering. It was great food.

I liked this head in the thrift store near the restaurant.

Back at the house there was a romantic, old lamp post...

Here's Hannah under the lamp post.

And me... well, I couldn't be left out.

Ok, the house was freezing because they didn't have heat yet, so we kept warm by the fire in the living room... which is where the guys slept. The girls slep in another room. We played cards and slid around in our sleeping bags for pretty much the whole evening.

Here's the fire.

Lukey's hat was warm, too.

Rat Slap was intense...

...but sometimes it was calm...

...but mostly it was mysterious...

I made faces at Hannah, and she made this face at me...

Ben made this face...

They said I looked like a gnome. A gnome? Really? Gnomes never get married... awww crap...

The next morning, it was raining, we were waiting for Brittany... and best of all, we had a green umbrella!

Truly a lady...

Ben offering an arm... truly a gentleman...

Ben being carried away... truly something!

Truly a warrior...

And then Brittany arrived...

And we went to eat noodles for lunch...

And Lukey did this...

And we laughed at him...

And I sipped tea... this is my tea face...

And the Gebauers were as awesome as always.

It was oodles of fun... will have to go back soon

And we did tons more that we didn't take pictures of... or that we did take pictures of, and I just didn't want to include :) Well, I love you guys... I am going to try to go to bed again...
