Wearing my Canada hoodie and baggy jeans. I forgot how warm and cozy it is. *snuggles* It's so rainy, but we had sleet a while ago and after 5pm it's supposed to shift to snow, so I'll deal with the rain.
Reading Colonial cookbooks makes me want to eat strange things. I held myself back and had oatmeal with molasses and raisins and tea for breakfast. I really wanted buttered corn mush and blood puddings. Actually, that's still what I want... ( >3>); Now I have to settle on a recipe for my project. *looklook* I'm pretty sure I want to do something with cornmeal. I also want to do something with fall flavors. Pumpkin/sweet potato/persimmon corn pones? That sounds about right. I'll put in info about butter from my milk book, salt during the Colonial and Civil War periods from my salt book, and cornmeal from my traditional foods book. With the three other period/historical cook/info books, I should be good. Now I just have to read(fun and easy- I love food readings) and type(bane of my existence).
My thesis/outline thing is just a few hours work. No real biggie. I just have to do it. :/
