Roller Coaster Week
What a roller coaster of a week. On Tuesday, to be buoyed on the Obama wave, lifted high, flooded with joy and hope and pride.
Then sunk beneath the wave on Thursday with the death of a great leader on a smaller stage, Randy Pape. Randy leaves a huge hole in this community and in my heart. Every encounter I've ever had with him left me feeling valued and energized. He never missed an opportunity to tell me how happy he was that Bob joined their organization, and how important my support was in making that happen. I love that man, and so do many many people.
The theme of the week appears to be great and good leaders, able to inspire the best in people and to get things done. We are lucky as a species that such leaders appear.
