'The General's Daughter' was a bad choice to watch with the family
Talk about Awkward... Here's my answer to this Plinky prompt!
I KNEW it was a bad idea in advance: I read the synopsis on one of those movie sites, like Yahoo!Movies or somewhere. But I had just turned 18 and I wanted to watch a grown-up movie with my parents. So we went to the theater and when the nudity/rape scene and the bondage scene came on, my face just fell.
I'm doing an anime movie this weekend and Howl's Moving Castle is my kickoff. I have a list of movies I'd like to re-visit, although having "Chinese Ghost Story" in DVD format would make this kick off a little less complicated.
