Hmm I've got a couple of things to talk about so I think the easiest way is to separate the various topics.
1. PASSED!
おめでとう ('Congrats' to the Jap illiterate, sorry) to everyone! Everyone got their scores today and I think generally everyone did really well. I was SOO happy. Totally thought I was gonna fail AiA, but managed to get a credit! やった! So yeah, that makes it 3 HDs and 1 C. VERY happy! I thought getting a HD for KnK was funny. That exam day was so much fun! I was running on no sleep, didn't study AT ALL and was high as a kite thinking about Jdoramas and Kame poledancing. XD Go me.
2. New frames!
I got new glasses!
Lookie! I couldn't be bothered taking one myself, so that's a pic from the Net. I look so much older with them though. And am still getting used to them, they're really different to the frames I've had before. >.< Oh well, I still like them. It's got a cool case too. ^^
3. De-lurked
Finally got around to posting the pretty pics of
Yamapi that Nessa-chan gave me <33 ありがとう!Posted them to
boys_paper, and everyone was really nice. I'm not much of an active member, more of a lurker but I actually delurked today and am so happy I'm replying to ALL my comments. Thanks everyone! ♥ When I get around to scanning all the pretty mags I get I will probably contribute more.
4. Musing: Grams family
Some of Grams rellies came to Australia from Canada and the US the other day for a wedding and it got me thinking today that I don't really know about Grams' family. I know Gramps has 3 sisters and 1 brother in Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and New York respectively cuz I visited a couple of them on my trip a few years back. But I realised that I didn't know anything about grams' family. So I asked, and with the help of mum figured out that Grams has a very complicated family. Grams has lost contact with all her birth family. She had(has?) one brother and one sister. The sister she *thinks* is still in China. No idea where her brother is. Her mum was last known to be in Saigon. No idea if she's still there. Grams was brought up by her adoptive parents. Now her closest family members are her adoptive aunt (who lives in Canada) and adoptive cousins (whom live in Canada, US and Australia). One of her adoptive cousin's SON got married last week hence why Grams adoptive aunt, and cousins came down. I also realised that I've met the rellies in the States, they had me and mum over for dinner. Someone really nice picked us up from our hotel. Found out that he is Grams adoptive cousin's second son, so that makes him Gram's (adoptive) second cousin... which makes him.. my ..what?! o.O
Moral of the story: Mum says that Gram's background is pretty um.. the translation of the word she used would be.. tragic? o.O That sounds really severe. But all I can say is that it's complicated. And it took me 20 years to take notice and actually try to find it out. -_-; Shame on me.
Oh and before I forget! The purikura we took last Thursday!
PURIKURA! Maggie, there's a couple dedicated to you! ♥
