ah, I think one of the things that I was looking forward to the most about being back in the States was that I could drink some actual coffee! more specifically - delicious coffee in Brew Haha, the best coffee shop in the entire world. But, as good as it still was- it was weird too. I think its because I was always there with things to do- studying, talking to friends, reading a book for relaxation, sleeping between classes, etc... and this time, I didn't have any of that to do. There were all these students around being really productive and learning things and I just wanted to be a student again- but I wasn't. Hopefully I'll be back on campus again in the fall, but it looks like thats not as sure a thing as I had previously believed. yikes! oh, well, I think I'll hear officially what their offer is by the end of March- which will be good- enough time to make a decision and reconcile to everything before I go back. Anyway, back to Brew Haha, I miss it, but its changed a lot, and I've changed a lot. There is a new manager now and she has changed the menu, changed the coffee brand and the way they make it, and the whole decoration is different too. There aren't many of the same people working there as before. So, it was fun, but Im' not pining for it anymore. There is actually a cafe that I like to go to here. Its called Café Les Artistes., and its pretty sweet. Its very centrally located in the city and has coffee, espresso, cocktails, beer, beignets (the best best best version of donut i've ever had), and its fun. There are three stories to it and its really interestingly divided up. The first floor tends to be older people- the second, kids my age or a little older, and the third floor is for the lycéens (the high schoolers) The third floor also has a huge pool table so it gets pretty rowdy in there sometimes. haha, I'm actually going in a couple of minutes there with Sonia-- though I think we might go to the Musée de Beaux Arts first. ok... so thats all for today!
over and out.
