well; sorry kids for the momentary lull in intersting stories... haha; but really- When I was in the states I was just so busy doing things that I didnt want to waste time writing about them; but right before I came back my computer cord broke; so i'm waiting for a new one! ha:
well; so this past weekend was what we like to call here in France; Les Portes Ouvertes! which involves a lot of random people wandering around the schoool; and kids singing and doing presentations and stuff. In english that would be the Open House; but its really a combination of Open House for the parents of the kids who already go to school there and the parents and fifth graders who will probably come next year- just so they can see what they are getting into. So; most of the classes and professors prepared a lot of things; but apparently this year the english department is epecially lax- I prepared a song with the 6eme and after they sang it-- in the most adorable way possilbe; we put on a video from two years ago when the students visited scotland. it was ... fun. haha; but it was interesting- lots of parents tried to talk to me in english and were really interested in the fact that Julien Franck gets assistants for the languages, because not all schools do. I also got to see the other classes and what they do and learn all the acronyms for subjects and stuff- there are so many! EPS- is PE; SVT is animal science; ... i dont actually remember any more! haha! It was fun for the most part and I got to hang out with Cristina ; teh spanish assistant at my school for most of the time too because her classroom is right across the hall from mine!
