where has the summer gone
So this was long overdue. I've been meaning to give this LJ a reason to be again (aka. revamp? I usually get in the mood to post more after a new layout) but failing miserably at it. Blame my break and how I've managed to fill up all my free time with either outings, sports or RP.
But anyway. Better late than never: Kiseki Flist, please welcome new Poly Flist. To all of you who friended me in the last meme, hi thar. 8D See what I meant when I said I never update this? Well, this is one of those rare occasions. Make the most of it. /shot
Life so far has been good to me. I've gotten away with a lot during this break, even with not being sucked into another internship. I'm also surprisingly not going stir-crazy and going out a lot. It's a whole new summer experience, waking up early in the mornings, jogging, then having lunch either with Andrew or friends. I may get used to this so much that moving back to campus is gonna hurt like a bitch when break is through. But for now I'm just enjoying myself.
I've been doing good with just my Umi muse for so long I wonder if she'll ever wear out on me. Hopefully not. It's a delight to play her in Poly and I think I'm finally gathering motivation to play at Kiseki again. My canonmates are wonderful & love them to death. The only wish I could make is a little more presence from their part. But I also know I'm fucking hyperactive with Umi (at least at Poly ashdfkl) and that her pace can be difficult to follow, so I don't feel I can ask for more. Poly-wise I think she's built so many wonderful CR that I'm even past the point where I don't need to rely on canonmate presence to keep her motivated.
I'm also toying with the idea of either apping her at Nereide or picking up someone else at either Kiseki or Poly (or both, if I want to be a real masochist). But I like the pace I've developed with just Umi in both games and feel this might well throw it off. :/ IDK. The most relaxed option would be to pick someone who's low maintenance and doesn't have to post more than what's strictly necessary.
*IF* I go for this at Poly I'll at least try to make it a non-CLAMP character. But among the potential characters I could app there's really no one that appeals to me enough to sit down and work on an app.
I miss my MKR cast at Kiseki. I miss a Fuu at Poly and a Hikaru there. I'm ridiculously glad we just got a Kobato at Poly too, since I've loved interacting with every Kobato I've played with so far. More MKR crew at either game would be amazing but I'm starting to accept the fact that it's never going to happen. At least my Umi muse is strong enough to deal with that, as well as any potential losses by now. Or so I hope. ;;;
While we're at it, if anyone wants to plot with her, want her for anything, please hit me here. I'd love to volunteer her for any plots where she's not the main player but an accessory party. I've also been wanting to cook up some MKR-related plot since god knows how long. But I'm open to any suggestions anyone may have.
Tl;dr, RP-wise, I'd say things are healthy on my end.
Oh, and amazingly there's another 4th wall breakage day upcoming in Poly this Saturday. That soon. This game's pace is gonna kill me eventually. Which means I won't be able to play through it this time. T___T I'll be busy with BF and 4th of July things.
But since it's allowed, I'm prolly going to make Umi's post for tomorrow 4th wall-enabled in case anyone wants to poke her there. Feel free, everyone. Last time was really epic. ♥
