Taylor Hicks is sooo awesome *Girly sigh*
American Idol tonight made me fall even more in love with Taylor Hicks. Seriously, this was his best night, IMO. So why am I getting through so much more tonight than last week? *Worries*
Chris and Kat sucked this week. For the supposive top two, they really made a royal mess out of Elvis week. Especially Katharine. She was indeed screechy and out of tune on the first song, and then she totally messed up the second one forgetting her lyrics and basically screeching the high noties again! I do not understand why so many people like her. My ears can't take much more.
Chris's second performance was horrendous. Seriously, it sounded like a bad Elvis impersonation. Before Simon even said it, I turned to my mother and said, "Ok, that was flat!" He sounded good when he got to the last part, but the first half of the song was a nightmare. I also did not like the first song on him, but then I'm a Clay Aiken fan and the only person I ever want to hear sing "Suspicious Minds" is Clay.
Elliot had an amazing week. Definitely his best to date. He came out swinging tonight, and I can definitely see him in the finals now.
Taylor was, by far, the best. The first performance of Jail House Rock.. he sounded like gold. His voice was so perfect for that song, and the dancing always bring a great big smile to my face. Then "In The Ghetto" blew me away. This man can sing like nobody else on this show. While Simon hated the first performance (the man just does not get it), he loved the second performance and predicted Taylor will "sing himself into the semi-finals". I certainly hope so. All I can say is I'm voting right now, and I'm getting through way too often.
If Taylor goes home, I will be beyond pissed. Vote, people!!!
