Unfuckingbelievable! Mandisa was sent home tonight! MANDISA!!! The best female voice in the competition - gone. Meanwhile people like Ace, Bucky and Elliot are still there! What bullshit!!!
I make it no secret that my absolute favorite is Taylor. He's number one in my book, and I'm rooting for him all the way. However, I also loved Mandisa. She has the voice of professional. Yet she has one bad week (yes, she picked the wrong song) and boom - she's gone! Meanwhile Ace has had like a zillion bad weeks and he's still there!!! What's the difference? Ace is a "heart throb" while Mandisa is obese. If this country wasn't so stuck on looks, it wouldn't be this way. Mandisa is gone because she's overweight. Simple as that.
I get so disgusted with how so many people judge others on appearance alone. I've been thin and I've been fat, and let me tell you, you get treated a lot better when you are skinny. It's so unfair.. what people are missing out on simply because they couldn't get past someone's skin color, size, outward appearance, etc.
You can tell me I'm wrong.. that Mandisa went home strictly because the song sucked (which it did), but I will not believe you. They have had lots of super sucky performances week after week, and yet those people are still on that stage. It comes down to looks, and that's just such crap.
Mandisa is absolutely beautiful... she has the prettiest face I've ever seen. I'd kill to look like her. She's just a big girl, and apparently that doesn't go over well in Hollywood. Well then fuck Hollywood.
Mandisa, I love you, girl. You will go on and do better things. With a voice like yours, who the hell needs American Idol anyway? You rock.
