a few words of voting wisdom

1. if you are going to vote in the primary, make sure that you have not removed the party affiliation from your voter registration.
2. if you are only voting so you can put dennis kucinich as the write-in candidate (aka: lodge a formal protest against the fucked up system), it probably doesn't matter.
3. added bonus: the electronic voting machines aren't set up to accommodate unaffiliated voters, so you get to fill out an honest-to-goodness paper ballot, seal it in an envelope, sign the envelope in the presence of an election monitor, and get a receipt. the receipt includes a phone number that you can call 7 days after the election to determine if your ballot was counted, partially counted, or not counted. i'm pretty psyched.
