the CURSE
We went to see a Cure cover band last night - http://www.thecurseband.com/. First off they were good. and I did end up having a good time. There was also a Siouxise cover band.
Second I feel like I deserve the scarlet letter!!! I felt like I had cheated. It felt so strange seeing someone else play Cure songs. I had never seen a cover band before. (actually I forgot I did go to the Cure convention back in 1998 but was selling extra cure things and did not see the cover band.)
Then I got really ANGRY (ok drunk) when they gave away things for easy Cure trivia. & then for the main prize (a signed poster for the TIB re-master) the question was "What is Robert's full date of birth"? and the stupid girl took over two minutes and got a million chances and they still gave it to her! Not very fair I say. I can name every members birthday's past and present off of the top of my head!!! & then I felt better about it later, when I thought about the poster. Who the hell wants a "Three Imaginary Boys" poster with Simon, Roger, Jason and Perry's autograph? It is sort of funny to have things signed by members who were not involved with the album. & then I got to thinking that I really need to find a Matthieu Hartley autograph. Then I think we would have everyone's that has ever been a member. :)
Well again I had a great time out with my two girlfriends and I did walk out of there with a poster! ;) It was a good evening. even thou I felt funny being there.
