Sugar is sweet and so is more sugar.

I've given up sugar.  Yes, again.  The past couple of weeks have been dipped in chocolate, bruleed, rolled in sugar, and drizzled with caramel sauce.  Which actually sounds pretty wonderful if i were talking in a euphemistic on-a-honeymoon-in-Paris kind of way but i'm not.  I'm talking for real real with the sugar.  Mochas, ice cream, M&Ms, brownies, cake.  It's all just. too. much.  So i'm stopping.

I'm currently at the end of day two and, about 20 minutes ago, i was ready to saw off my own right arm to have a slice of Fruit and Cream cake from the Honey Bear.  But i got a baked potato instead (I know, NOT the best choice.  I really need to keep a stash of string cheese or something on hand for these snack attacks) and now my craving for cake has been beaten back to a very manageable persistent knocking.

So i'm going to give it a week.  And hopefully at the end of the week i'll be inspired to make it two. And from there, well, the sky's the limit.  My Month of No Sugar for the Year of Lent wasn't so bad once i got past the first week, this time i just need to make it more of a lifetime goal than a month long goal.

And besides, sugar is really, really bad for you.
