On running, and not.

Yesterday was the perfect day to run.  It was clear, and cool, baby was napping and Silas was home.  Seriously, the planets couldn't have aligned more perfectly for 30 minutes with the pavement flying under my feet.

but

I didn't run.

I stayed inside the house and played Lord of the Rings Online and ate some lunch that i can't remember even though it's only been 32 hours.

You know what i need.  Motivation.  Clearly something more than the 4 miles that i need to run come May 16 for the Beat the Bridge.  What i need is a running partner.  Someone to run with who will keep me going and distract me from the task at hand.  More importantly someone who will bring out the small competitive streak in me and make me want to do better.  If i have someone that i want to be as good as it will inspire me to run even on the days we don't run together.

Which makes me really pleased that my work friend Emily is moving to a new apartment that is fairly close to my house.  She is a runner.  And a much better runner than I am so right there is my motivation.  This is going to be great.
