Accomplishment of the Day:
So, I get an annoying telemarketing call this afternoon (is there any other variety?) and legitimately got so pissed off since I had about thirty-eight thousand better things to do than listen to this shit, I resorted to the time honored tradition of telling the caller who inquired if I was home that I wasn't currently available. May have sounded a bit miffed, idek. Honestly wasn't going for that. But poor telemarketing lady was all flustered and "I'm sorry sir", like me claiming absence of presence made her realize the error of her auto-calling ways.
Bonus points for her picking up on my gender. It's not the first time that's happened on the phone, and I wonder if I sound like a GI frigging Joe or something, because I can practically hear them sitting up a bit straighter, and their voice will quiver, just a little. Anyway, that floats my boat so hard it even made up for the nuisance.
