(no subject)
After seven months of unemployment, I started a new job on Monday, doing clerical work for a local grammar school \o/ It is only part time, the pay reeks, and I will again be out of work come the summer (though I do start back up in September) but HURRAH!!! I am working again and it feels wonderful!!! Not to mention it is only a fifteen minute walk from my house, which beats the horrible commute which consisted of a 25 minute walk to the train station, a 40 minute train ride, then another 15-20 minute walk to my office. If there was anything to be grateful about regarding the situation, it was that I did not have to make that trek with the disgustingly subarctic winter we had. *is shivering just thinking about it*
Another bonus will be that I have access to the internet during the day on a personal computer, a luxury I have not had in a place of employment for over two years. Now that I am sufficiently cheered and can sneak onto the internets at a reasonable hour, I am contemplating signing up for holmestice, because I apparently have a heretofore undiscovered masochistic streak... But new projects do sometimes help jog a writer's block on the Pastiche From Hell, which is currently 3.5 years in the making (and I reached 70k today), so perhaps I will give it a go this time around. *ponders*
