This week my beloved, being the awesomely wonderful woman she is, surprised me with the gift of two CDs that she secretly ordered online for me.
They are by my new favorite band Within Temptation, "The Heart of Everything" and "Mother Earth" and include several favorite songs including "Our Solemn Hour", "What Have You Done", and "Our Farewell".
I discovered Within Temptation a few weeks ago via Last.fm (alongside the fact that I apparently have a particular fondness for female-fronted "symphonic metal"). Now I'm joyously reveling in the pounding-soaring musical goodness of it all, and am yet again reminded what a lucky man I am to be with a woman who not only shares my often peculiar tastes but goes out of her way to do wonderful little things like this for me.
