just finished reading New Moon - book 2 of the Twilight series, and am currently reading Eclipse - book 3 of the series. i read Twilight yesterday, and finished it in half a day :)) the books were good enough for a light read, but it isn't as extraordinary as i thought it would be. it's sort of like a vampire version of Sweet Valley High :)) kae was right; am halfway through book 3, and the whole story's turning out to be a vampire version of Fushigi Yuugi *cringes at the thought*
it's ok, though. i need a breather from heavy readings after months of poring over law books. the book i read was Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love In The Time of Cholera, and it also used up quite a number of my brain cells, so... i'm not complaining... much.
BUT (and this is the embarassing part):
i'm crushing Edward Cullen *squeals*
that is, when he's not being emo vamp and stupid. or is it because i can already picture Robert Pattinson as Cullen because of the movie ads? :)) i didn't find Pattinson handsome as Diggory in Harry potter; i guess he's more suited to be a vampire than a wizard.
and, though i'm not exactly the brave type to stand supernatural experiences, i won't mind if i get a visit from this particular creature:

homaygas. ang gwapo niya dito XD
i won't try to sell the series itself, coz i have a high tolerance for sappy romance novels. but i can say that Twilight is nowhere near Anne Rice material - although i noticed that there are similarities between Rice's Louis and Edward.
anyway, can't wait to see the movie, more because of Cullen's character than the story XD i think Twilight is the best among the three books i've read so far.
