Odd little truths
Some odd occurances happened pretty recently. Not many, but some. One thing that sorta took me by surprise is the revelation that Cid is actually a musician. He plays piano really well and sang me a little song he wrote himself. This was one of those times me and the hubby go to the barracks and hang out with random people. While the hubs was with the heavy drinkers getting some shots in, I told him Id be upstairs telling Cid we were here.
Cid was pleasantly surprised, (seeing as he asked us down there to begin with and we tend to unintentionally shoot him down a lot) and was quick to pull me in and ask me what I thought of this ballad he wrote. I was amazed that he had that kind of talent, since he outwardly doesn't seem the type. His performance was cut short though as the hubs came in during the song. Cid told me right out that he didnt want people to hear him sing, so I only figured he was embarrased.( He looked almost like he was expecting ridicule)
The hubs didnt stay too long. He was just curious and wanted to pop in before going down and getting boozed even further.
I asked Cid about his reason for joining the military. He said he just wanted to get away from all the tradgedy in his life. So many close people to him died that he didn't think he could go on. So now he puts all of himself into his occupation...and his music.
He seems to be the only person I met down here that actually joined so he could escape his old life, as apposed to those who join to improve upon it and wind up missing what they left behind.
There are some characteristics in him that remind me of homie (besides sharing the same first name). Both of them are just so troubled in ways you just cant help them.
Speaking of which, I talked to him the day before. It seems he got that little dumbass Mickey pregnant. I am soooo gonna beat him the next time I see him. As far as I know, shes keeping it. I sure hope she doesnt drag homie into it. I hate her so much I just want to slap the bejeezus out of her every time I see her.
Not sure when, but Homie says he's taking a roadtrip to see his bro and while he's at it, he'll swing by here. \^-^/ Yahoo!
Ahh and before I go, one more thing.
Theres a pet tiger running loose on the Fort and its been killing and eating peoples dogs. ^-^
