Japan and I are getting along famously.
Since I arrived on Saturday everyone has been so nice to me, and I'm having the time of my life.
Yasu's parents are incredible. You can take the train everywhere. They have sushi on little conveyor belts and you can barbeque at your own table.
I'm currently located in Kawanishi which is the 'countryside' (by Japanese standards) outside of Osaka.
Sunday I had sushi and explored.
On Monday I went with Yasu to Kyoto to the festival in Gion. There were so many cute little girls in their summer kimonos and weird but yummy Japanese things to eat.
Tuesday was shopping and bowling
And yesterday I met Yasu's friends and we had dinner at the barbeque-at-your-table restaurant I mentioned. His friend are incredibly nice and tried their damnest to speak in English and include me. One friend, Tairi was hilarious even though I didn't know what he was talking about most of the time. Tatsuya has a car, and I cant begin to tell you how scary it is driving on narrow Japanese roads.
Anyway, that:s all for now.
Hope everything is well in the US!
