my thoughts you can't decode
how long has it been since i wrote a real update? wait, don't answer that. i don't really want to know. and it doesn't really matter, i suppose.
here's what's been going on: last weekend i went to the metropolitan cooking and entertaining show with erin and had a fantastic time. highlights were the sample bar of curries and the wine slushies (not together - two separate events. wine + curry just sounds awful). to top it all off, i met one of my cooking heros, giada de laurentiis. she signed my book, i got a picture, and we watched her cook later in the day. it was fantastic, save for being slightly miserable due to a cold that i'm just now starting to overcome.
thanksgiving is coming up and so are my duties to provide said meal for my family. less daunting this time for sure; in fact, i'm kind of looking forward to it.
the first weekend of december marc and i are off for a cruise to the bahamas. glass bottom boat cruises, coral reef snorkeling, horseback riding through the surf - it's going to be like a sandals commercial, but minus the cheesy models pretending to have fun. instead it will be us, sad not using our iphones and probably a little sea sick. but i can't wait.
i'm not ready to think or talk about christmas yet; i'll face that after the cruise.
so that's me in a nutshell. still the same, boring girl i was last time i wrote. you haven't missed much, i promise.
