maybe there is something to evergreen's "how to fight the man" classes

I've decided to make a full-length graphic novel about school and the school system, a la Persepolis. So posting it online wouldn't really work very well, but I might post a few frames as a teaser. Hopefully I can make this an independent contract, so I can graduate college by setting loose a firecracker in it. Had I spoken my mind during school, even without expletives, I probably would have been expelled (in some desperate measure to protect a teacher's authority, ego, inability to handle criticism from a child). It's too late to put that to the test though- college students are listened to and respected so much more than children. That's exactly what I want to challenge. And when I become a teacher, I want to put this same firecracker in the schools I teach in, and that will be the ultimate test of how willing schools are to acccept change.

(though i am thinking my story would be more powerful if i waited until i had the experience of being a teacher, but... i just don't know how i'll get through 3 more years here, and i'm reaching for anything at this point, which is exactly what that japan idea was.)
