I wrote out this entry last night and went to post it when LJ died. It didn't die, it was doing some sort of maintenance stuff that made me think I lost the entire entry. Well, ten hours later, I came back, and everything is still here! Wonderful! So, now to my day-old entry...

I went to go see GoF again. I got a lot of comments from my 'friends' about how that proves just how pathetic I am. Yeah, right. I think it proves just how awesome I am and what a great fan I am!

Right. So, first I'd like to say that it was even better the second time around, even though we were forced to sit in the very front row and get major cricks in our necks. Things still moved pretty quickly, but I guess I was expecting them to come right away so it didn't seem as bad.

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts class scene, when Moody introduces the three unforgivables, there's a point when Moody snaps at Seamus to not stick his gum under his desk. Well, if you look carefully in the background, when Moody first asks about the unforgivables before he catches Seamus, you can Seamus sticking another piece of gum under his desk. Magic gum must loose it's flavor really quickly for him to be needing to get rid of two pieces that quickly.

I didn't mention this in the other post, but I meant to. The dark mark? Amazing, brilliant, wonderful, awesome. I love that dark mark!

At the Yule Ball when all the students are bunched up at the front jumping around to the Wyrd Sisters, Crabbe is dancing spastically at the very back, jumping up and down while holding some other student's shoulders. Ahhh, young love. ;)

In the graveyard scene, Voldemort refers to Lily as Harry's "muggle mother." I don't remember him saying this in the book, and I've just recently skimmed that chapter and didn't see anything of the sort. Now, fans know that Lily wasn't actually a muggle, but a 'mudblood,' (though none of us would call her that, right?) So is this a mistake? Or are we supposed to think of it as Voldemort and his supporters not seeing any difference between mudbloods and muggles? I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and just say it's the latter.

This time seeing it, I was with a bunch of other college students as opposed to being alone, so I was able to discuss it with them. Plus, I just found out that one is a slasher, too, so we have now made plans to get together and geek over Harry Potter.
