[ Axel's only been here for two months, but he's already accumulated quite a bit of... well, trash, some of which he hasn't thrown out, but cleaned instead.

And since lately, he's had nothing better to do, you get to see a few glass jars that he's half-filled with tin cutouts of stars and circles and diamonds, or beads made out of soup label ( Read more... )

taking his mind off things, something to do, should be doing something productive, bored

Huh... someone's been busy.

Guess that's one way to make something useful out of your junk. {Read as: He's impressed.}

Or, I could have built a ship. How's your brother's coming?

Hey now, don't give him all the credit. He wasn't even around for when we started the thing.

Buuuut he is the Captain.

It's going surprisingly well. It survived the blizzard and everything. Hopefully when it's warmer we can set sail.

Think you'll get anywhere outside of this city?

Yeah. I've got a good feeling about this. We're going to see what's on the other side of that lake.

Though uh, a few others have gone outside the city before. There's at least one other town that I know of, maybe more. Sanji--

{Died in the other town.} ...and a few others went to check it out some months back.

{Right around when the chip flip happened and he berated him while he lay dying. God he could never stop beating himself up for that moment.}

And he ended up back here. Hm.

Guess you aren't planning on actually leaving then, are you?

Yeah. The place they found was abandoned and in worse shape. They occasionally head out scrounge up supplies.

Depends on what we find. My wanderlust is getting the better of me. What kind of pirate stays in port this long?

[ usually he'd be like 'but isn't the lake a pale imitation of the ocean' and 'isn't that town a terrible replacement for adventure,' but this is the guy that went to a burning building just to be near fire, so... ]

Not a very good one. Better start hoping it gets warmer, soon. Lots of people seemed to think the scientists would enjoy leaving us in the cold a bit longer.

{Yeah, good job there sparky :| And the lake WAS a crappy replacement for the ocean. That town... he didn't want to go there honestly. He didn't want to see the building that'd taken Sanji's life. Not until he could blow it to smithereens at least.}

Ouch.

Yeah, no kidding. I really wouldn't put something like that past them. Hell, they probably know we've built the thing. That's why I was surprised it survived as long as it had. Figured they'd screw with us more and somehow destroy it.

You should go before you get your chip removed. That way, at least if the scientists sink the ship, your crew won't go down with it.

Haha, well, Luffy and Chopper can't swim even with the chip in. But there are plenty of us who can at least.

But I have faith in this ship. I think it'll survive whatever the scientists or elements throw at it.

S'why I suggested Weather Hardy. That was before the blizzard so it's living up to the name.

I don't know, the "Floaty No Head," is really catchy as a name.

The... {Okay wow he didn't know that was a choice :| It's.... special.}

We'll see. Naming a ship really isn't that easy. It's not just a hull and sails. It has it's own spirit. {A tip of the hat to PotC.Not that Ace knows that, he just thinks he's being sentimental.}

I'm sure if the spirit reflects your brother's, then "The Floaty No Head" would be accurate its spirit would appreciate the name "The Floaty No Head."

Well, my brother does sometimes act without using his head and often goes with the flow.

Still... {Eh, it was pointless, a name would be chosen eventually.}
