what worldly possessions can do for you! [voice]

So if you could have anything you wanted right this moment what would it be? [ He pauses thinking. ] Don't give me any of that existential stuff like world peace, or freedom from our lovely captors, because everyone usually wants that. [ Puts the usually in there because you buggers are damn crazy. Or just like the poor sorry state of living that ( Read more... )

[He sounds a little suspicious of this, but he'll see what Crowley can do.]

How do is anyone to know you're not like the Malnosso and are simply giving us something because you have some agenda behind your plans? Because to me, you're sounding quite like them.

Why would I be like the buggers keeping us here against our will? Seems a bit too glorifying to them.

Because you're either working with them or have your own agenda in which you want to find some way to control us much like the Malnosso.

Working with them, right, inside the barrier they created. Makes perfect sense. Sleeping with the enemy, too bad I'm not Julia Roberts.

No hidden agenda, just a bit bored bloody hell. You buggers are too paranoid. [ Honestly last time he asks a question. ]

Who is Julia Roberts and why would she be sleeping with her enemies? And why I mentioned it is you could be a spy working for them. Your question simply seems too suspicious to be considered innocent.

[ Oh god he just laughs at that so hard Frederic. Thank you for making his day. ]

It's a bloody movie. Let me guess they use puppets and magic shows for entertainment in your world though. I'm also guessing you don't get out much given your overall response towards this whole thing. Don't see anything suspicious about it at all.

What is a movie? And no, they don't. The form of "entertainment" in my world is either going to parties, balls, or having piano concerts. I also don't see how I "don't get out much" as I've traveled quite a number of places. I'm simply stating the way your question is worded sounds too familiar to what the Malnosso do.

They're pictures that magically move across a screen. [ He says this so sarcastic and then...that reply, he is not surprised. ]

Ngk no wonder. Nineteenth Century. Good parties, not a fan of the transportation. It's a bloody figure of speech. So that automatically makes me one of them. Some logic you got. I was just wondering, is all.

By your reply you're either someone who has lived during the century or simply another immortal being who remembers living in it. [He sighs.] Either way now I know you're from the same Earth as I am or I should hope we're the same. Perhaps we could give some introductions so this conversation may have some formalities? Even if I'm still a bit suspicious of you, I see no harm in giving names.

Lived in it. Immortality is a big assumption there. [ Though you got it in one shot, impressive. ] Suppose we are though, this place gives you about five different versions of it. It's Crowley oh paranoid one.

In this village, immortality is hardly unheard of. [A pause, then he speaks.] Frederic Francois Chopin, a pleasure to meet you Mister Crowley.

[ Wait wait wait. ] Did you just say Chopin? As in the--why am I even asking. That's honestly doesn't surprise me anymore.

[He sighs again and if Crowley could see him, he'd be shaking his head.] As in the famous composer and pianist, you mean to say? Yes that would be me.

Unless you're a crazy delusional bugger who thinks he's him. [ He might or might not being setting you up to play some music. ] So you must have had a rough time getting used to this. Technology and all that among other things.

I wouldn't lie about my name, Mister Crowley. [More sighing.] Yes, it has been rather rough for me. It's very different from the nineteenth century since these newer technologies are so confusing and I can't for the life of me figure them out.

How do I know that? It's awfully suspicious to have someone saying they're a famous composer after all. Maybe if you could prove it, I'd be more convinced. Well I'd say sticking forks in those little panels in the wall is a bad idea, but you're welcome to try it.
