There's also a double of Amestris- Edward is here, but he's from that world. He won't remember anything about the current situation, and he'll be a couple years older than you'll remember. There's also a Mr. Alfons Heiderich and the homunculus Envy.

[Hawkeye wasn't kidding when she'd said one minute. The police building was close by, and getting to the fountain was quickly done. And speed was vital; Kimblee would, no doubt, be looking for the young blonde himself- running into him now was the last thing Hawkeye wanted to do, and she scanned the corners for people as she approached.

But showing so much concern on her face was a bad idea, she knew, and Winry was still in many ways a girl. So when she spotted the other girl, it was with a smile that she greeted her.]

[Winry waited a bit nervously, hoping that Riza would get there before Kimblee decided to show up. In the meantime she took off her soaking wet coat, trying to wring it out a bit. It was heavy, and the weather was definitely warm, but she didn't know whether or not she would need it. Instead she shoved her bangs out of her eyes and draped the coat over her arm.]

[First this place, then talk of another Amestris...a different Edward. It was a lot to take in, but right now she had to get somewhere safe.]

[She was relieved when she spotted the familiar face. Smiling as well, though looking a little tense, she hurried over. Eager to go...well, wherever Riza planned on taking her.]

[Hawkeye was getting good at reading tensity, and the other blonde was not as experienced as she in hiding her emotions- at least Winry had the sense to be concerned. Riza proffered an arm slightly, without particularly stopping her path.]

I can take your coat if you'd like. It's summertime here.

[This was the only time in recent days Hawkeye planned on taking the same route back from where she'd come, but getting indoors was a must, and Kimblee wouldn't be able to follow them into the police building.]

We'll go back to Police Headquarters for a moment, I have a few things to pick up, if you don't mind. It's just across the square.

[It wasn't particularly a lie, but it wasn't the main reason either- Hawkeye was still running through lists of options- where could she take Winry? Her own apartment was a possibility, but she already had company there, and she'd prefer to keep that secret.]

Oh, no, it's fine -- I've got it. I guess it was a good thing I got dumped in the fountain, then.

[She let out a nervous laugh. As kind as Miss Hawkeye was, she was anxious to see Ed -- and see how different he was from the one she knew.]

I don't mind at all. It'll be nice to get out of the sun.

[Winry looked around at her surroundings. The City was large, and it would take some time getting used to finding her way around. Hopefully she could figure out what exactly she was going to do soon.]

[Hawkeye smiled faintly, leading onwards the slight way to the new glass building.]

There are less messy ways to cool off, I'm sure.

[The nervous laugh was more concerning. The situation was tense but not anything Winry needed to shoulder herself; but soon to come her direction would be a great deal of other information just as bizarre, just as upsetting as anything she could have seen yet. And the Lieutenant knew all too well how that felt.

There- the building, and Hawkeye keyed in- the combination pass-key and code-punch was technology far beyond what she herself was used to, but she'd been assured it worked, and Riza pulled the door open, holding it for the younger girl.]
