For Butterfly and Thomas

Mike hadn’t woke up Butterfly or Thomas when His mom and brother arrived. It was still early in the morning. After helping them both inside Mike sat down with his mom and let her hold Dolores. Thomas woke up slowly rubbing his face as he slid out from under the covers. He staggered toward the kitchen in his car pajamas and socks. He stopped when he saw the new people sitting there with his father. He walked over and leaned against Mike,"Dad?"

Thomas kept a particularly close eye on the man holding his sister wondering why he seemed familiar.

Momma McKay and Bob watched the boy smiling especially when Mike gave him a hug.

They're alright. That's your Uncle Bob and your grandma.

He smiled shyly at them still pressed against Mike's side. "Hi. It's nice to meet you."

Thomas chewed on his bottom lip.

I helped your grandma raise your dad when he was small. We were about the same as you two are. Bob smiled unsure if he should move after what Mike had told him about the boy being afraid of things he wasn't used to.
