There was a time when I would have never considered myself a devoted pet owner, but I am so pleased that I can now say otherwise.
Coming home from a long day of work to an empty house used to be somewhat disheartening. Now, just knowing that my charming Vongole will be there to greet me makes the evening a genuine treat. She's just about 25 weeks old now, and growing bigger every day. Sometimes she's a bit much for me to keep up with, even though she isn't chewing everything in sight (at least, not as much as she once did). I've been trying to take her on two walks every day, which has been good exercise for the both of us. And with the weather as pleasant as it's been, refreshing as well.
It's also been brought to my attention that it's about time for me to get her spayed... I have no intention of breeding Vongole myself, after all, and her breeder recommended a very talented veterinarian that will perform the procedure. I'm a bit nervous about it, as any surgery is potentially life-threatening, but I can't put it off any longer. I know once it's over she'll be much better off because of it.
If there are any fellow pet owners who have some advice to offer me on the subject, I would appreciate it a great deal.
