I've died a few times here.

Do you mind giving an account of the experience?

There's nothing to report. After the death itself there's just missing time until one wakes up 24 hours later in their room.
Well, that's what its done for me, at least.

Or did you want what happened each time?

Yes.

Also, I have some questions. This might be better asked in person. Are you using the text function because of a language barrier?

*His reply takes a few minutes this time*

No, I'm not. I think we've spoken before but I don't feel like checking.

You can meet me in the library in 10 minutes, if you need to do this in person.

That would be best.

[Kim's not good at remembering people. Ideas, she latches onto like a limpet, but people...not so much. She shows up punctually, at the Library and peers 'round a shelving unit, looking for she knows not who.]

*Marco doesn't really know what Kimiko looks like, and forgot to mention his name...so he hangs near the entrance of the library.*

Kimiko?

[Kim turns at the sound of her name.]

I'm Kimiko Ross.

Marco Devera. I forgot to give you my name before.

*Marco keeps his voice low. He looks, and sounds, exhausted. He also hopes that gave her enough information to just jump into the reason she was here.*

What did you want to know?

It depends. I mean, it depends on how one dies. When Jennifer was released, it simply seemed like I was outside the theater one second and back in my room the next.

The slower ones...I think, the first time, my conciousness waned due to pain and blood loss. Everything just sort of...faded. I woke up in my room, just like normally waking up. There weren't any dreams, though, but it took me a few seconds to realize the attack hadn't just been a dream itself.

*That was more confusion and unfamiliarity with the system, though.*

If there was anything, the memory's been removed.

...why do you ask, anyway?

...

[She rotates her jaw to the side, a little, considering the right answer. Thinking back, she thinks Marco might be someone who'd disapprove- or maybe that was Mr. Whitecastle? So many dissenting voices..]

Because, I am a woman of science. I can't exist without asking questions.

*He cants his head a bit.*

Then you must be gathering the data for a reason.

*There's no suspicion, demands, or even questioning to his voice. Its simply an observation. The questioning will come later, probably long after she's left.*

I'm not stupid. We're being monitored.

[She regards Marco with wide, flat eyes, one black, the other a deep steel-blue.]

I'm not publishing my hypothesis, and I can't give any conclusions until I have more information.

I'm pretty sure we're always being monitored on this ship.

*He shrugs.*

Alright. Anything else you wanted?
