I believe that saint marck himself is making these "users" to make his site appear to be heavily trafficked. Then he can sell the site off to someone else at a profit... or so he thinks. really. Who hosts the website? You could call the hoster (before we discussed who registered this domain)... the host of the website (maybe lunarpages?) should have IP logs that will prove how many of the sock puppets come from the same IP. Do you know anyone with a lunar pages account? If you do, you can post an image on the chatty thing and watch the IP addresses and know for sure who posts what.
saint marck is cool He's relieved to know that I am not tamp, but apparently he believed this to be the case for years. I will have to do a lot of personality damage control. Luckily, we (Tamp and I) are very different people. For one, I don't pretend to be other people.
I am not so sure. There is suggestion out there that saint marck has hundreds of sock puppets. He would not be the first website administer to make fake users to build the net worth of his website in hopes of selling it for profit.
but maybe he is an exception. things just don't add up in my mind
You're being paranoid. I've been a member of that site for years (including during its previous ownership,) and if marck wanted to pump up the userbase, he'd do it easily, and if he was willing to sell the place, it would be well sold for cheap by now.
it is kinda funny that the previous owner claims the exact same address as the current owner. Yet the home is registered to a 60 year old school teacher. I'm thinking it is one smelly dude in his mums basement who has gone by more than a couple names.
really.
