Movie review time!

Today is Bolt.

The opening sequence wasn't long enough, as agreed upon by myself and one of the friends I saw it with. Puppy-Bolt is TOO. CUTE. My friend told me that he wouldn't mind the whole movie being about Bolt and Penny when they were little.

Of course, that's not how it goes. Also, the Bolt TV show would be totally cheesy but badass. My other friend(who's very cynical) remarked that it would be too high in levels of badass to not watch. I agree. Anyway, I think everyone hated the agent. He was stupid and irritating and patronizing. I will admit to being more amused than I maybe should have at the pigeons. And I totally called Mittens' claw-bluff. I noticed she never showed the pigeons her claws, and then when she was trying to threaten Bolt I called it to my friend. He thought he'd seen claws, but I was right. Anyway, I kept wanting to just pick Mittens up and hug her. She needed it. Also, Rhino was very giggle-inducing. He's a little like a Chihuahua who thinks it's a Rottweiler. The dogcatcher scene made me sad for Mittens when she was in the truck and then terrified in the cage. I know it was in the trailer, but I'm a sucker for "You came back for me?" scenes. I loved the music, especially Barking At The Moon. That whole montage was great and I totally love home songs. My friend especially liked Rhino whipping the map out from under one guy's fries, and then taking a fry. I liked Bolt seeing a dog and his human playing fetch, being lonely, and then Mittens waving a stick at him and him going to play. The ending is very nice. Penny's mom punching out the agent for his heartlessness was necessary. And if you didn't at least smile at the end in the rural house with Bolt playing with Penny and Mittens curled up by Penny's mom(and Rhino learning that TV is not real). Also, the Bolt TV show going to aliens was pretty funny. Admittedly, it was a Disney-predictable movie, but it was still sweet and cute and funny! So I'm happy I got my mom to agree to take me to see it sometime soon.

good day, movie
