Another fine mess...

*After arguing with Silverbolt, Ratchet had stormed out of the medbay.  Thankfully, with the early hour, there were few mechs around.  And the few that were around didn't argue with Ratchet once they saw the look on his face.  He headed straight for the entrance to the Ark, pausing once he stepped outside*

*After getting Silverbolt settled Wheeljack had gone looking for Ratchet to update him on the parts list with no luck. Figuring Ratchet had gone back to their quarters to recharge he made his way over and keyed in the passcode.*

Hey Ratch' *sounding sheepish* Sorry ta wake you but I can't remember the new passcode for our quarters, can ya let me in?

*knocking gently on the door for good measure*

Huh? *at Wheeljack's comm, Ratchet lifted his head, drawn out of his musings* Passcode's 45d632s, but I'm not there. *he paused, debating about telling Wheeljack where he was, but didn't*

Thanks Ra... *pauses as the door opens processing the rest of Ratchet's reply* We have another attack?

*Having spent most of the night deep in the bowels of the volcano rummaging through storage crates it was entirely possible he'd missed an alarm*

Attack? Not that I know of. *it was short and terse, but Ratchet was still emotionally drained after his fight with Silverbolt*

*Picking up that something wasn't right*

*looks around* Halfway up the mountain. I... needed some time to think...

*Venting a huff of air, closing the door to their quarters and turning towards the rec room*

Need some company up there Doc?

*Worried that whatever Ratchet had seen in the warehouse had unsettled him more than he'd let on.*

Sure... *Ratchet shrugged, even though Wheeljack couldn't see him. He knew the engineer would probably come and find him whether Ratchet wanted it or not. And it would do him good to see a friendly face*

*Subspaces some energon before folding down into his alt mode and heading out of the base, keeping the revs low since it was still fairly early to be racing through the corridors.*

I'll bring breakfast.

*After a quick check with the guards on duty who pointed him in the right direction rounds the bend leading out of the base and up the side of the mountain.*

Can ya hear me yet?
*Not sure how high up Ratchet has gone.*

*tilts his head, listening* You're getting closer. *He hauled himself to his feet so Wheeljack would be able to see him*

*Luckily Ratchet's size and paintjob made him fairly easy to spot even if his sensors hadn't registered the movement ahead*

I see ya

*Pushing his speed up until he drew up next to Ratchet and transformed. Wheeljack hadn't had a chance to clean himself up since yesterday and his frame was still splattered and marked with fluids, dents and other odd marks gained when digging through parts crates.*

Morning *offering one of the energon cubes, giving Ratchet a once over with his sensors*

*Wheeljack's scans would find little more amiss than lack of recharge. Ratchet took the cube from Wheeljack, noting the state of his frame*

Thanks. You look a mess. *of course, he didn't look that much better himself, but at least he wasn't sporting quite so many dents*

*snorts* Love you too. *fins flashing in a grin*

Nice view... *Sitting down with a creak of protest from his joints, legs dangling over the edge of the mountain*

Yeah... *Ratchet hadn't really taken in much of the view, more concerned with examining exactly where he'd gone wrong with Silverbolt*

*sighing, he sat down and took a sip of his energon*

Have you been up all night?

*Retracts his mask to take a sip of his own cube as Ratchet sits, turning to give him a wry smile*

I'd forgotten how much junk we had stored down there... *By way of explanation* ...Grapple and Hoist are still sorting through it.

*Nudges Ratchet gently* How long have ya been up here taking in the scenery?

*shrugs* Not sure. Didn't take note of the time when I sto... when I left medbay.
